The Digital Transformation Council is a community for professional networking and collaboration. It exists to encourage the open exchange of ideas. Engagement drives the value of the council for both the community and individual members, so regular participation by members is encouraged.
Council members are expected to share information and regularly participate by completing surveys. These surveys typically take less than 10 minutes to complete, and fall into two principal categories:
- Topical surveys designed to gather information to be used in support of ARC research. Members are expected to complete a minimum of 4 of these surveys per year. Published results will contain only aggregate data, with no identifying information about the member or the member’s organization.
- User preference surveys designed to better understand the interests of Council members. Ideally, each member will complete each of these surveys in a timely manner.
Members may download ARC content for their own use and convenience but may not share or distribute these materials without prior approval from ARC.
DTC member log-in area is ARC Advisory Group’s (ARC) private and secure website designed exclusively for Digital Transformation Council (DTC) members. This site will provide Members with access to a wealth of information on all Digital Transformation Council activities, collaborations, and services.
Copyright and Trademarks
Except where otherwise noted, Digital Transformation Council members may download any content from the DTC member area of arcweb.com for their own use, provided such content is not edited or modified without ARC’s consent; that ARC is given proper credit; and that none of the copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices are removed. Documents may not be shared outside the Council without prior approval of ARC.

Registration information collected from you will be used for the purpose of processing and managing your membership. Any registration information we collect about you will not be disclosed by ARC to any other non-DTC member party in a form that would identify you. Information provided during registration may be used to create a directory of members, for use by members only, or to compile aggregate statistics about membership. ARC may use your registration information to contact you with member-related information, such as member meetings and recordings, report and data availability, and surveys.
You have the right to request the correction of registration information about you held by the DTC.
Submissions and Discussion Forum Postings
ARC Advisory Group is not responsible for material submitted to the Digital Transformation Council or posted by members. Unless you notify ARC and Council Steering Committee otherwise, users grant ARC and the Digital Transformation Council permission to use any material, information, suggestions, ideas, drawings, or concepts communicated for any purpose ARC chooses — commercial, public, or otherwise — without compensation.
To foster collaboration, comments by members within council meetings, or in other venues, are to be held in confidence; in particular, specific comments attributed to named members should not disclosed outside of the member community without prior authorization by the contributing member. Cases may arise where it is in the interest of the council to share information externally. For example:
- At ARC’s discretion and judgement based on the interests of the Council, ARC reserves the right to create and publish blogs, articles, reports, or similar, in which information abstracted from member contributions or survey results is used. No identifying information about specific members will be published. In some cases, ARC may seek approval from the steering committee or the membership before doing so.
- Members or member groups may wish to create certain content for the purpose of communicating the Council’s views or recommendations externally.
Members acknowledge that they are fully responsible for whatever material they submit, including its legality, reliability, appropriateness, originality, and copyright. Users may not use language or post content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane. ARC will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing ARC to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. ARC reserves the right to revoke access to the Digital Transformation Council for anyone who violates these requirements.
Council participants must remember that the antitrust laws apply to all activities relating to the Digital Transformation Council activities. Please adhere to the following: Do not, in fact or in appearance, discuss or exchange any information on prices, including but not limited to individual company prices, industry prices, costs, price changes, price differentials, markups, discounts, allowances, credit terms, production, capacities, inventories, transportation rates, market procedures, or matters relating to actual or potential individual suppliers or customers that might have the effect of excluding them from any market or influencing the business conduct of firms toward them. This list is not intended to be exhaustive.
Code of Conduct
To ensure we maintain a welcome and thriving environment to collaborate we’ve come up with some general guidelines that apply to participants in the Digital Transformation Council community.
Act Professionally: Be courteous, respectful and polite to fellow community members: no racial, gender, or other abuse will be tolerated. Make everyone in our Council feel welcome, regardless of their background and the extent of their contributions and do everything possible to encourage participation in our community.
Keep it legal: Share only content that you own, do not share private or sensitive information, and do not break the law.
Stay on topic: Make sure that you are posting to the correct channel and avoid off topic discussions. Remember when you update an issue or respond to an email you are potentially sending to a large number of people.
Respect all Digital Transformation Council community forums: The previous guidelines apply to all forms of interaction including, but not limited to: social media such as Twitter, mailing lists, discussion forums, and any other forum that is used by the community. Events that take place in public spaces, such as conferences and meetup groups, will generally have their own code of conduct or similar community guidelines. As such, the guidelines for a specific event should be followed.
Be careful in the words that we choose: We value professionalism in all interactions, and take responsibility for our own speech. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other participants. Harassment and other exclusionary behavior are not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Violent threats or language directed against another person.
- Sexist, racist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
- Posting sexually explicit or violent material.
- Posting (or threatening to post) other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
- Sharing private content without prior consent, such as emails sent privately or non-publicly, or via unlogged forums such as private IMs.
- Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.
- Unwelcome sexual attention.
- Bullying or repeated harassment of others. In general, if someone asks you to stop, then stop.
- Advocating for, staying silent about, not reporting, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
Keep in mind:
Decisions that you make will often affect others in the community.
Disagreements happen but should not be an excuse for poor behavior and bad manners. Conduct frank discussions and disagree openly. Don’t take disagreements personally. When disagreements do happen, work together to solve them effectively and with comity.
People may not understand jokes, sarcasm, slang and oblique references in the same way that you do. Please remember that and be kind to the other members of the community and mindful of the non-native English speakers .
Sexist, racist, and other prejudicial or exclusionary comments are not welcome in the community.
You are participating in a collaborative community of a global scope. Please keep in mind how words, the tone of statements and sarcasm may be interpreted (or misinterpreted) by others.
Report an Incident:
To report incidents or to appeal reports of incidents, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include any available relevant information, including links to any publicly accessible material relating to the matter. Every effort will be taken to ensure a safe and collegial environment in which to collaborate on matters relating to the Council. To protect the community, the Council reserves the right to take appropriate action, potentially including the removal of an individual from any and all participation in the community.
